The word is spreading and it is all good! Acupuncture is a safe and effective form of health care used for thousands of years to treat trauma and disease. Used consistently over time, it is an effective tool to maintain balance and prevent illness. Combined with Chinese herbal formulations, profound and lasting results are often obtained.
Gentle and deeply relaxing, the needles themselves are placed very gently, and often , nothing more than a mild sensation can be felt.
I am also trained in the Toyohari method of Japanese non-insertion Acupuncture techniques.
Formulated from leaves, roots, bark and flowers from such familiar plants as licorice, peppermint, angelica, and ginger; these formulas are mixed and used in concert with one another to directly guide your body to balance and health. I use both as appropriate to maximize the effects of your treatment.
Traditional formulas that have stood the test of time are used and modified by me to customize them to your specific needs. I suggest herbal supplements when appropriate to maximize the effects of your treatment.
Developed by Osteopathic Physicians, Craniosacral Therapy works by using the body's own healing ability to reverse the effects of trauma and stress on the Central Nervous System.
I use a series of very specific and gentle "holds" from the feet, all the way up to the head and neck. The pressure is never more than the "weight of a nickel". This creates a feeling of absolute safety facilitating very marked self correction of imbalances.
My patients often describe a feeling of weightlessness, or "floating". Often they describe a feeling of being "transported".
I have used it successfully to treat; back and neck injures, headaches, insomnia and temporomandibular joint dysfunction[TMJ], among other issues. Newborns benefit greatly. Children and Adults with learning disabilities have been treated with marked improvement.
Licensed since 1993 in both Utah and Texas;my primary influences were my Russian Sports Massage teachers from eastern block countries. There, Massage is the primary method of keeping the athletes injury free. It is deep and effective without being painful. Also,of course, very relaxing.
